Freelancers and small businesses can produce professional-looking invoices and statements with cloud invoicing software. To save time and reduce stress, it chases late payments automatically. Expenses can also be recorded, so you get a clear picture of your business sales and expenses.
We like Zoho Invoice because it is simple to use and integrates with Zoho CRM. We have also used and implemented Kashflow and QuickFile for clients. Below is a brief overview of the key features of the three cloud invoicing software solutions, to help you decide which might be most suitable for your business
Previously, we used Excel to produce invoices and manage expenses before switching to Zoho Invoice to make us look more professional.
You can customise sales quotes and invoices with your company logo; have late payments chased automatically; and easily record expenses. Added bonus?
Zoho Invoice is free!
Kashflow is aimed at the UK market and provides a user-friendly interface. Customise invoices and enjoy automatic chasing of late payments. The software offers bank reconciliation and automatic filing of quarterly VAT reports directly to HMRC (because no one enjoys filing VAT returns.) For businesses that run projects (e.g. the construction industry), Kashflow lets expenses be apportioned against projects, providing detailed P&L information for each; an essential insight into what is and isn’t profitable. Access can also be given to accountants. Prices are on their website.
Another easy-to-use UK-focused piece of software, QuickFile is designed for the non-accountant and is great for producing invoices, keeping track of expenses, balancing your business bank account and automatically chasing late payments. Not only is the software simple, it is free to use if you produce less than a 1,000 invoices a year. Otherwise, there is an annual charge.
